Our Local Community

Akoona is proud of its small home community of Nevis in the West Indies. And for those who aren’t sure where that is we’re in the Caribbean.

Although most people have never heard of us we’re quite a developed country. We’ve just been very careful not to develop too fast or to develop into a tourist trap like some other small countries. Visitors start their adventure by flying into fly into Newcastle Airport in the North, or by docking at one of the many ports and harbors along our island coast.
